There's a voice that keeps on calling me, Down the road is where I'll always be

Once again I felt the urge to carry on boating so I pottered slowly on up from Abingdon to Oxford, and I'm now moored not far from Foleys bridge. The most interesting bit being passing through one of the larger locks on this end of the Thames, large enough that 8 narrow boats can comfortably fit in in 4 rows of 2. Fortunately the lock keepers understand that solo boaters take longer to get ready in the lock, so will quite happily give you the extra time before opening up the paddles. Predictably, the closer I got to Oxford the more canoes and rowing boats I encountered.

zaniyah and Ed have apparently broken down again, so I may well not meet up with them until I head back down the Thames towards Reading.
